I believe people can do whatever they want with their car, but it still makes me sad to see stuff like happen.

As Brother Al stated, this is one of the main reasons I am keeping my car as it is. It may not be "rare", but as the years go by it will be harder to find a quality "base model". My philosophy on this is that the people who spent the bucks on a T/A, S/E or Recaro tended to take better care of them. Those who purchased the base model used them as daily drivers and beat the hell out of them. So the % of "surviving" base models is lower than T/A, etc. I actively search the net, looking for a car like mine as a comparision, and just to see whats out there. Havent had much luck finding something like it.

Here is a nice survivor, a Stock Classic 1982 Pontiac Trans AM

I was never aware of the bowling ball hubcap recall? Anyone care to expand on this? Did it carry over to the 1983 Aero Wheels?

I wonder who has a 4 cylinder Firebird in original condition?!? I bet they are rare!
